Well done Dr Seetharama Mayya . You have saved the Sri Venkatarama Swamy(SVS )Government College in Bantwal from a calamitous point. After all when our brethren are hurt by the scarf of Ayesha Ashmin, she must be either mended or be told to stay back home with her religion. The college is not the place to show her religious identity.
As principal, one can understand your concern to maintain law and order problem. Any attempt to create law and order problem has to be dealt with sternly. Ayesha Ashmin with her scarf became a potential threat to the institution. She failed to realize that in a progressive society, the scarf, burkha etc are symbols of subjugation of women by men. The liberated women’s dress acceptable for men is casual wears like short skirts, tight tops, , night gowns, and swim suits, in different gorgeous colour . She even does not know the limitations of liberated women. She must be told that the liberated women have no right to choose her own dress code much less head scarf. Why the hell she covers her head with scarf? Atrocious and highly offending.
The ideal place to begin such discipline is the Government College itself. Because these Muslim men and woman have a feeling that they have the fundamental right to profess, practice and propagate Islam notwithstanding the sentiments of others in the society and the Government and Government Institutions should suffer them. They understand least the irritation they make in others when appear in Burkha ands scarf. As a progressive man heading the Government College, You could not have shy away from the constitutional obligation when called upon to uphold the sentiments of the majority students who cry for action against Scarf menace. Your action is commendable for you dared with least concern for the consequences of being accused for discrimination on the basis of religion. How does that matter when the goal is to liberate the woman? It is only a humble start. Look, nobody dare such thing in Gujarat. And you set the ball running.

Dear,
Seen the order wonderful work done by you all. I am also disturbed
by the news item of barring weaning of Purdah/head gear by girls and
denying then to attend college. This is grossly unconstitutional and
against the fundamental right of individuals. Such an order is a clear
denial of Human Right – whether one is in favour if it or not, it is
immaterial – it is wearers choice that alone matters. No law can tell
her to do otherwise.
I feel PUCL should move State Human Right / Minority Commission in
this regard.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Rajindar Sachar
There is no penal provision to prosecute somebody for denying the fundamental rights. The most telling way of enforcing fundamental right is to award heavy compensation for the loss sustained by the victim which either State should initiate action or the court suo moto or on the application of the affected party award making the erring officer personally liable. Even the Human Right Commissions can initiate take suo moto action if it consider such reports are a blurr onthe secular image of the state and weakens the secular fabrick of the socity , apart from the violation of human right of an individaul.
Brilliant. We need more foreword thinking Muslim bretherns like you. I stand you point by point.

So long as women's dress code do not hinder our right to enjoy their flesh beauty, it is O.K.Right? .
